2012 Word for the Year

For the past couple of years, I have asked the Lord to give me a "Word" or "Phrase" to focus my year.  As Christmas week came upon us, I found myself praying for a word for 2012.  Days past and strangely...nothing!  Finally, New Years Eve morning , as I was lying in bed determining if I was going to get up or lie there for another hour and let the kids play on their own, it hit me...the word was STILL.

STILL:
Adjective: remaining in place or at rest; motionless; stationary; free from turbulence or commotion; peaceful; tranquil; calm; subdued or low in sound; hushed.
Noun: Silence
Adverb: At this or that time; as previously: (Are you still here?); yet; nevertheless, also, although
Verb: To silence or hush, to calm, appease, or allay; to quiet, subdue, or cause to subside (waves, winds, commotion, tumult, passion, pain, etc.); to become still or quiet.

Although my first though about the word was to STOP and be silent (which is certainly a good lesson for me) I was also struck with the phrase "Still I am God".  Although there may be trials, although there are things you may not understand STILL He is God.
